Overview

MENSHO TOKYO at One Bangkok stands out as a refined destination for ramen enthusiasts seeking authentic yet innovative flavors in the heart of Bangkok's bustling Lumphini district. Located conveniently on Rama IV Road, this ramen restaurant has earned its reputation by expertly balancing traditional Japanese techniques with a modern touch, creating an elevated dining experience that resonates with both locals and visitors.

The main attraction here is undoubtedly their ramen, where the broth takes center stage. Whether it’s the rich and velvety Signature Tori Paitan—celebrated for its creamy depth and nuanced umami—or the lighter, clearer Shio and Shoyu versions, MENSHO TOKYO delivers a spectrum of tastes that honor regional diversity. The Umi Shio ramen is a particular revelation; its clear broth carries a delicate sweetness from clams, harmonizing beautifully with house-made noodles that maintain a satisfying chew while complementing the broth’s subtleties.

Premium ingredients elevate the menu beyond the expected. The careful selection of chashu—ranging from A5 Wagyu beef to smoked pork, chicken, and duck—simultaneously contrasts and blends with the broths’ flavors, adding layers of texture and richness. A hint of truffle paste lends an elegant earthiness that transforms familiar flavors into a gourmet experience. Beyond ramen, the fried chicken accompanied by grated radish and black vinegar sauce serves as a standout appetizer, striking a perfect balance of crispiness and tanginess that cleanses the palate.

MENSHO TOKYO is thoughtfully designed to cater to discerning diners who appreciate quality and subtlety. The atmosphere mirrors the level of care in the kitchen—comfortable yet refined, it invites guests to savor each bite without distraction. While some find the pricing modestly premium, the consensus suggests the experience justifies the investment, given the meticulous ingredient sourcing and skilled craftsmanship.

For those craving a ramen experience that transcends the ordinary—whether it’s a creamy tonkotsu, a clear umami-rich soup, or inventive abura soba infused with white truffle oil—MENSHO TOKYO offers a compelling choice in Bangkok’s competitive culinary scene. It’s a spot for ramen purists and adventurous food lovers alike, promising a harmonious blend of tradition, creativity, and culinary precision all under one roof.

We revisited Mensho Tokyo again after a few years and ordered the recommended menus. Both dishes are much improved from last time. Meat and soup are great. I like that the soup is less thick so I could drink it. The noodles are also great but can be improved to match the perfect of meat and soup. Overall is a bit pricey but worth the money.

Mensho Tokyo truly delivers an exceptional ramen experience. I tried their Signature Tori Paitan, and it was easily one of the best bowls I’ve ever had. The chicken broth was incredibly flavorful and creamy. The home-made noodles had the ideal chew, soaking up every bit of that delicious broth. What really set it apart was the selection of premium chashu – A5 Wagyu, smoked pork, chicken, and duck – each adding its own unique texture and depth. The touch of truffle paste brought an elegant umami note that elevated the entire dish. If you’re looking for a luxurious and satisfying bowl of ramen, this place is a must-visit.

Normally I love classic Tori Paitan ramen at Mensho but the creamy broth is not as perfect like in the past so it was a perfect time to try other menu! Umi shio ramen, surprisingly amazing. Even though I was never a big fan of shio ramen. The clear broth got natural sweetness punch from clams. House-made noodles is very satisfying to eat, even shio ramen features thin type noodles, still got good amount of chewiness. Marvelous. For a high price, I’m glad they are generous with thick sliced of chashu pork. It’s flavorful and so tender. New version of Abura soba also very tasty. White truffles oil add crazy aroma to this dish. Another satisfying dish just like Umi shio. Fried chicken with grated radish and black vinegar sauce was a fine snacks as well. Probably the best tasting out of all appetizers here. Overall, Mensho will always delivered. Quality ramen and snacks. A bit expensive but worth the whole experience.

Shio ramen was clear and tasty with the sweetness upfront. Another one we've tried was Shoyu ramen which also had the similar approaching for the taste. Both smell nice. Recommend a try if you'd to have ramen in the city.

I have always wanted to try their thick broth Signature tonkatsu ramen. This place rocks. It's one of the best I have had in Bangkok. They also have the clear soup ramen full of umami from the clams. The portions are not too big and the flavours is mind blowing. Definitely a go to spot for my ramen fix in Bangkok,

Located on the 1st floor of The Story building, this shop serves a bowl with a rich, dense flavor. The noodles are excellent, and the chashu pork has a great texture and taste. For the side dish, I ordered the karaage (fried chicken). The sauce was sweet and sour, which I absolutely loved—though the price is a bit on the higher side ( ;-; ). Overall, the service is standard.

Fantastic ramen! The chicken broth was rich and full of flavor without being too heavy. Noodles cooked perfectly, toppings fresh, and the service fast and friendly. One of the best ramen spots in Bangkok, simple, delicious, and satisfying. A little On the pricey side but worth it.

For years, Mensho Tokyo has been one of my favorite ramen spots in Bangkok, so of course I had to check out their new location at One Bangkok. The big advantage here? No crazy queues like at their Sukhumvit branch — we didn’t even have to wait a minute. Luckily, the quality is just as good as the original. My personal favorite is still the Wagyu ramen — pricey, but absolutely worth it. We also tried the spicy chicken ramen, which was great too. Only downside: they don’t serve an egg with it by default. Do yourself a favor and order an extra smoked egg — they’re seriously to die for. And of course, a fresh draft beer on the side pairs perfectly with a steaming hot bowl of ramen. Can’t go wrong.
